Exclusion/Repair-  This process involves fixing the damaged area and installing necessary devices to keep other animals such as birds, snakes, and squirrels from regaining access to your home through the existing damaged sites. Screening attics, installing chimney caps, dryer vents guards are just a few of the things that we do to exclude wildlife from your home.
Habitat Modification-  During the inspection process we will note the buildings surroundings and landscape to determine if there are any concerns that need to be addressed.  Wildlife need three basic things: food, shelter and water. Sometimes homeowners unknowingly invite wildlife guests to their house by allowing vegetation to grow to high or to close to their homes.  They sometimes provide food for wildlife and in doing so create a problem. A snake problem for example could be caused by vegetation in a ditch or large rocks in the yard. These are the type of things that we look for and correct.  By altering the habitat, even if its by just removing one of the three basic needs (food, water, or shelter) we can decrease the chance of a reoccurring problem.
Education-  At Alabama Wildlife Solutions we like to educate our clients about their wildlife concerns.  We feel that by educating the customer we can reduce their chances of future wildlife conflicts.  For example, on snake exclusions we take time to teach the customer how to tell if a snake is venomous or harmless.  We can show this with just an intact skin that has been shed.  Are bats really blind?  Ask us while we are excluding them from your attic!  We have spoken to several schools in our community and love to educate children about wildlife.  Teachers, if you would like for us to come speak to your class we would love to do so. We can fit you into our schedule and there is of course no charge for this community service. Email us at alawildsolutions@aol.com
